Sarah Speir

Education Coordinator

Sarah began with CCCAS in 2022 as an ESL instructor and recently began a new position as the Coordinator of Education with the Refugee Resettlement Program of CCCAS. In addition to teaching ESL classes, Sarah will be developing intercultural and ESL trainings for volunteers interested in assisting with language and culture classes, and related programs and activities.

Sarah moved to Erie in 2019 and has over 25 years of experience as an international education practitioner at several colleges and universities in the U.S. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at the Erie County Community College and a member of AAUW (Association of University Women), and One Table, a local organization interested in intercultural and interfaith community building.

Sarah completed her undergraduate degree from Florida State University, her master's at the University of Georgia (Athens), and her doctorate at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations.
