Volunteer Coordinator

Heidi Kumar is our Volunteer Coordinator for the Refugee Resettlement Department. She was born and raised in Erie County. She has worked in many facets of the customer service industries in Erie as well as in Pittsburgh and Jacksonville, FL. Her love of travel and helping others eventually led her to Thailand and then India, where she was paid to work with elephants and people from all around the world. Heidi lived in Asia, working in eco-tourism, for over four years until her return to Erie in 2020. Heidi has a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a Chemistry minor from Edinboro University.
